Sketching Norfolk: An introduction to line and wash

Held in the beautiful surroundings of the Cliftonville Hotel in Cromer, this workshop is aimed at the complete beginner or those who are very new to sketching or painting, and provides a straightforward introduction to sketching in line and wash. This fun and expressive medium combines ink drawing and watercolour painting and using little equipment, is a great medium to begin creating your own artworks. It is also ideal for outdoor sketching and journaling.

Through practical demonstrations and paint-along exercises, I will provide you with the knowledge and skills to begin sketching in line and wash. We will explore the basic materials and specific drawing and painting techniques needed for line and wash before sketching scenes inspired by the Norfolk landscape.

This workshop is limited to six participants.

All equipment is provided, you may also wish to bring an apron.

Terms

I will only admit to a workshop individuals who have purchased a place on the workshop.

Attendees must be over the age of 18.
